It’s only a five minute walk to the village of Castelmoron sur Lot where you will find a supermarket, a baker’s and a butcher’s shop, as well as a chemist, florist, a lovely restaurant and local bars with outside terraces. There is also a post office and a bank. Every Wednesday the village holds its weekly market where all the people in the neighbourhood gather to do their shopping and to exchange the latest news.

Several cultural activities are arranged in the village throughout the summer, such as music festivals (Jazz, Classic, Blues, and Cabarets).

For those wishing to enjoy the river, boats can also be rented locally for ‘self-drive’ trips with no license required. In Castelmoron you can take a hydroplane out on the water and in Casseneuil, only a 15 minute drive away, there is a nautical centre where you can hire canoes, kayaks etc. You can also fish in the river or on any of the lakes in the surrounding area.

Laparade is an old village situated above Castelmoron in the hills and offers a spectacular panoramic view over the river Lot and the beautiful landscape. During July and August there is a typical “marché nocturne” (night market) in Laparade. Here you can eat, drink and dance every Tuesday evening.

There are 2 golf courses within 10 minutes of Castelmoron, together with over 150 cycle and walking routes for those wishing to be active on their holidays. For the cultural, there are gardens and medieval bastide towns to visit. And of course being the vine garden of France there are dozens of vineyards for those who want to test their palate. Or...you can just relax around our pool!
